Welcome to the Roster Athletics: Meet Mgmt App User Guides. The app is available on both the iOS app store for Apple iPhone and iPad devices and the Google Play app store for Android devices. The app integrates into Roster Athletic’s Competition Management Platform by allowing meet/meeting organizers/organisers to enter in live field results directly from the mobile device. The live field results are automatically transferred to the platform and directly into the main Roster Athletics App so that fans and athletes can follow these results in near real-time.
This guide is divided into a few sections below:
Logging in
Using this app requires a Roster Athletics Competition Management web account (not the main App account). Please contact your organization/organisation administrator to enable your account or info@rosterathletics.com for general questions on how to get this set up.
Once logged in, you are on the main Meet/Meetings page, where all meets/meetings associated with your organization(s)/organisation(s) are visible and searchable. For your meets/meetings, you will have permission to edit the meet/meeting or read only. If you have read-only permission and wish to edit a meet/meeting, please contact your organization/organisation administrator and ask them to enable you with the Update capability under Add Permissions in Roster web admin. You can find more details under the user guide: Permission to edit a meet/meeting.
Find your meet/meeting and click to enter the meet/meeting. Upon entering, you will see a list of all events for this meet/meeting.
Events are displayed in a scrollable order, by date and time. You will find search and filter functions here in the meet/meeting management app, similar to the main Roster Athletics app, to more quickly locate your events of interest or customize your specific events view.
Search function
Use the search function to find a particular event (or set of events) or particular athlete by name and quickly jump into the event.
Filter function
Use the filter function to only display certain categories of events for this meet/meeting - status (Upcoming, Live, Finished), gender, event type or specific events, event stage, age group, and particular date.
Please note that any filters that you set for this meet/meeting are sticky in your display until they are cleared. Thus if exiting and re-entering the same meet/meeting at a later time, any filters that you used will continue to be applied. The filters do not carry across different meets, so for each meet/meeting, you can apply a different set of filters should you choose to do so.
Connection status
Note that the Meet Mgmt app displays the connection status to the Cloud Competition Management Platform.
The app will work without an active connection once the meet/meeting is “downloaded” with an active connection. This is automatically performed by simply going into the meet/meeting of interest with an active connection prior. If you do not have an active connection during the event, your marked results will automatically sync up to the platform once a live connection is re-established.
